Less Is More for Spotify’s New and Improved Logo

Spotify has a new logo. It’s been pared down, lost its cutesy aesthetic, and thanks to a little simplicity looks better overall.

The old, over-stylized branding bounced at you like a candy pop music beat. On the other hand, the new 2D look is spelled out in Proxima Nova(Proxima Nova is the font used on the Spotify site and in marketing) custom Gotham font, and it’s simple and clean. It’s also worth noting that it’s now Spotify® rather than Spotify™, meaning the name has been registered with the USPTO. We like the new design. What do you think? [CreativeBlog, UnderConsideration]
