I just noticed that one of my friend’s shared Hurricane Sandy‘s photo on Facebook. In order to follow official Sandy news on the book you have to, uh, like it. And that just feels weird.
I mean, no one really “likes” Sandy. Actually wait. More than 166,000 people like her. People also like a lot of other ridiculous things on Facebook. For example, convicted child rapist Jerry Sandusky or murderer and all around horrible person Casey Anthony. And on the natural disaster front, you can give a charitable little like to Hurricane Issac [sic], among other weather juggernauts. Facebook is weird.
