The last Hunger Games movie is set to premiere this November, but Lionsgate isn't ready to quit milking its cash cow just yet. So what's the plan? Prequels, of course! Hunger Games will never die, never!

According to Deadline, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer revealed that he is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities," for the Hunger Games franchise. No one is particularly surprised by this; Hunger Games makes money, lots of money. Not sure which idea sounds more appealing, a prequel or sequel. It is a rich world worth exploring (we rarely get to see anything inside the Capitol world), so we'll be cautiously optimistic about it. But at the same time... eeeeeeeh.

Oh, also there may be a Hunger Games theme park in our future which sounds both depressing and awesome.

Oh, also there may be a Hunger Games theme park in our future which sounds both depressing and awesome.

Ugggggh. I hate when people miss the entire awful purpose of the Hunger Games. For example: There's this annual award at my office and last year the theme was...the Hunger Games. *facepalm* They worded it as "Nominate a tribute" to win, and ended the form with "May the odds forever be in your favor!" I'm thinking, clearly someone hasn't read the books or else they'd have considered the horrible implications and this wouldn't have been the theme. Argh. Almost as bad as people who throw "Gatsby parties".

So no Hollywood, please do not make a theme park centered around a dystopian world where children are forced to brutally murder each other for sport.
