Because you don’t already have enough ways to get the music from your iPod onto your home stereo, Logitech announced its Wireless Music System for iPod today. Here’s how it works: You take a dongle that looks like the iTrip FM Transmitter, only it’s bigger, and plug it into an iPod. Then you jack the Music Receiver into a set of speakers or your stereo system. Then, thanks to the patented Music Anywhere technology, you can listen to your iPod from up to 33 feet away! All that for $149.99—which is only half the price of a Bose SoundDock, after all. At least they put a rechargeable battery inside the transmitter so it doesn’t drain your iPod in an hour.
For the same price, you can also get the Logitech Wireless Music System for PC. It consists of a USB wireless transmitter, a receiver that plugs into your sound system, and a remote control. And it comes with patented Clutter Your Desk technology too. Then add on a $129 set of wireless headphones for the maximum in wireless rockery.
