We didn’t have a chance to post this up earlier, but TiVo made a few big announcements at CES yesterday. Among the news:
— Humax is slated to introduce both 80 hour and 250 hour standalone TiVos that should be out by the second quarter of this year;
— Humax and Toshiba will each have a new TiVo-powered DVD recorder out this Fall;
— A 250GB high-definition TiVo for DIRECTV which should be out soon;
— A new “TiVoToGo” service that lets users take shows stored on their TiVo and transfer them to a desktop or laptop. The catch is that the shows will only be watchable when a special USB key is plugged into your PC. Should be available this Fall.
