Illustration for article titled MacBook Refresh Detailed In Vietnamese Leak

In what's only the second most interesting Vietnamese leak of an Apple product this week, Tinhte has scored what seems to be a soon-to-be-announced refreshed MacBook, including a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce 320M GPU.

These spec bumps are small and in line with expectations—the 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo is an upgrade from the current 2.26GHz one and the GeForce 320M with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM is an upgrade from the current GeForce 9400M GPU—but as Engadget points out, this would make the entry level $999 MacBook even with the entry MacBook Pro in terms of CPU and GPU. The MacBook bears the identification MacBook7,1 (current ones are MacBook6,1), though the box still has the current model number, Model No: A1342.

So MacBooks (probably) get a modest spec bump, and Vietnam strengthens its reputation as a source of big tech leaks. I think I might find the latter more interesting. [Tinhte via Engadget]
