The first image we saw from Disney’s animated Mars Needs Mom feature was a bit terrifying. But today’s trailer is all heart, except for the part where aliens sedate and kidnap a small boy’s mom. Watch it now!

The more we see of this adaption of Berkeley Breathed’s kids book, the more we’re starting to like it. Looks like a lovely family movie — unless your mom has been abducted by aliens, then this would just be traumatic. Here are a few stills for a closer look:

Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out just how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young.
