Marvel has announced release dates for five films – two in 2017, two in 2018, and a fifth in 2019 – but opted to leave out which films they'll be releasing. Let the wild speculation begin!
According to Marvel's announcement, the new films will be hitting theaters July 28 and November 3, 2017; July 6 and November 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019. For those of you following along at home, the studio's five-year timetable now looks like this:
2015
May 1: The Avengers: Age of Ultron
July 17: Ant-Man
2016
May 6: Captain America 3
July 8: Doctor Strange
2017
May 5: Untitled
July 27: Untitled
November 3: Untitled
2018
July 6: Untitled
November 2: Untitled
2019
May 3: Untitled
Dollars to doughnuts we'll be filling in some of the untitled gaps at Comic-Con next week. Our money's on Thor 3 and a GotG sequel for 2017, and Avengers 3 for July, 2018. That still leaves two open slots. Anyone care to venture a guess as to which franchise Marvel will debut next? Black Panther? Ms. Marvel? Black Widow?
