Congrats to San Diego tortoiseshell Tiffany Two, who will turn 27 on March 13 … making her the world’s oldest living cat, according to Guinness World Records. That’s 125 in human years.
Tiffany Two’s owner, Sharon Voorhees, paid $10 for her remarkable pet in 1988; the name is “a tribute to another tortoiseshell cat she once owned in the 1970s.” TT is certainly a tough cookie, having the distinction of having gone missing for a two-year stretch. Even in her old age, she’s still in good health and is described as “feisty.”
That said, the Guinness report notes, “Tiffany Two also has a soft side … she has a sweet demeanor and loves to be petted.” Awwww.
Still, she has a ways to go before setting a new world record for longest-living cat of all time, considering the record holder: indefatigable Texas feline Creme Puff, who lived from 1967-2005.
