Today’s New York Times Magazine has a brief interview with FCC Chairman Michael Powell that focuses mainly on his obsession with TiVo, which he once declared to be “God’s Machine.” Despite some of the controversial decisions Powell has made at the FCC recently regarding media consolidation, it’s somewhat comforting to know that the Chairman of the FCC is a huge gadget geek who uses WiFi, understands what’s so great about TiVo, and perhaps most reassuringly of all, is a huge fan of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” We’re just dying to know whether or not he’s a Gizmodo reader.
