For $27, you can pre-order a mini orchestra in a CD case. Unlike a normal CD, where you pop it into a player, you just plug your headphones into the case and listen. Albeit, try to "listen."

It's hardly music, and I very much doubt you'll get your money's worth in terms of plays per dollar. Nonetheless, Tristan Perich's 1-Bit Symphony is a novel idea and might be music to the ears of retro-gaming nostalgics. [BangOnACan via Minimalissimo via Dvice]

That is actually really cool.

Makes me think of what techno would be like on a Nintendo.

I wish it came with a mixer though, that high pitched bit is kind of head splitting.
