We actually got one piece of vaguely comprehensible hate mail in response to our post yesterday about how high school kids are using gadgets to cause all sorts of mischief (such as the kid who used a universal remote and then walked through the hallways surreptitiously switching on all TVs in the classrooms), but then shortly afterwards we got a hilarious email from reader Jon Hamlin that made our day:
Speaking on your technology in the classroom article…one of my friends got a wristwatch from Radio Shack that doubled as a universal remote. We then went to Hooters and had great fun turning off the TVs at pivotal points in the games/races. The patrons were going crazy trying to figure out what was going on. You should try it some time.
We certainly will. Though we’d hate to do anything that might get us banned from Hooters.
