CES gives us a chance to see all the fancy audio equipment you don’t get to ogle very often (unless you hit one of those pretentious stores where the geeky workers are more excited about their equipment than ever, ever getting a date). So it was nice to see that you could get such huge bass from a small(ish) subwoofer, rather than one of those tremendous housings, with the new Cascade Model Twelve by Infinity. This baby still gives you all the sound you want, but comes with a 10-inch woofer that works in harmony with dual 10-inch passive radiators—all in a compact, sleek enclosure. And for the high-end brand Infinity, the $1000 pricetag isn’t as bad as it sounds. Comes in high gloss black, high-gloss silver and cherry wood veneer.
