Motorola has unveiled the W220, a RAZR with less bells and whistles, at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona. The phone comes in the same popular slim design of the RAZR, but is aimed at consumers not especially willing to spend an arm and a leg on a cellphone, especially those in developing countries.

The W220 lacks an external LCD display and MP3 playing capability, but does include more standard amenities such as a WAP 2.0 compliant browser and SMS messaging. It is not expected until Q3 2006, giving you a few more months to ponder why you spent an arm and a leg on your V3.
