Here are a couple of Belkin iPod accessories that slipped under our radar, what with the whole Apple insanity and us wigging out over at the Digital Life show. First is the Belkin TuneCast Auto for the iPod that lets you listen to your tunes in the car. It's an FM transmitter and charger (via the car's cigarette-lighter outlet) with two programmable memory slots, a blue backlit LCD, and will fit any iPod with a dock connector. Presumably, it'll work with the 5G iPod, though we didn't see it on this Belkin list of 5G compatible accessories.
Next is the TuneFM, which is new design take on the FM transmitter. It has a numeric LCD display which shows FM frequency and memory presets, as well as a hold switch. It uses the remote/headphone jack, which means this thing will definitely not work on the 5G iPod.
The TuneCast Auto will go for $59.99 while the TuneFM is priced at $39.99. Both will be out in November 2005, as well as a slew of updated accessories specially made for the 5G iPod.
