Summoner
Deadline also reports Stephanie Beatriz and Daniel Ings have joined the cast of Summoner, the directorial debut of Mortal Kombat II screenwriter Jeremy Slater. The film stars Kevin Bacon as a man “called into an isolated witness protection property to deal with a terrifying demon, unleashing a force that threatens to end him and everything around him.”
The Adventures of Tintin 2
Peter Jackson also revealed to Screen Rant a sequel to 2011’s The Adventures of Tintin will be the “next film [he] make[s].”
We have The Shadow of the Past, which is in the scriptwriting stage. The Hunt for Gollum is almost finished filming. I think there are about two weeks of shooting left. And we’ve also already written the script for Tintin 2, the second Tintin film. That will be the next film I make.
Fears to Fathom
Deadline reports Scarlet Stallone’s SYRN Productions has teamed with creator Mukul “Rayll” Negi on “film and television” adaptations of his Fears to Fathom video game franchise. Fears to Fathom is described as an anthology of “episodic psychological” horror games “inspired by frightening real-life experiences. Rather than relying on supernatural creatures or elaborate mythology, Fears to Fathom builds suspense around seemingly ordinary situations that take increasingly terrifying turns. The franchise is comprised of Home Alone, Norwood Hitchhike, Carson House, Ironbark Lookout, Woodbury Getaway and Scratch Creek, each following a different protagonist.”
Untitled Vampire Project
During her recent appearance at the Academy Museum Gala (via Dread Central), Hunter Schafer revealed she’s filmed a “batshit” vampire movie at A24 that “might be [her] favorite thing [she’s] ever filmed.”
Earlier this year I just did a vampire movie. I’m so excited about it. It might be my favorite thing I’ve ever filmed. Because it is batshit crazy. Me and my fellow actresses also got to act in sort of this batshit crazy way.
