The latest trailer for Cloud Atlas maps out the connective tissue of each recurring character and how each past (and future) life is connected. Leaping from century to century, the movie — which is based on the 2004 novel by David Mitchell — follows various lives of the same group of protagonists. From the eighteenth century to the post-apocalyptic future (where we all have facial tattoos), every kindness and cruelty changes the path of the future. So remember, be nice.
