The use of the toy Batmobile model in the new full-size version of the Falcon isn’t a surprise. Since the first movie, Star Wars models have been made with parts from commercial model kits. All those spaceships were actually made with bits and pieces from airplanes and whatever other plastic models the special effects team at Lucasfim could get their hands on.
