Designer Christian Lessing‘s light designs help you get a better perspective on things by taking their inspiration from what you’d see from the skies above… or even farther out.
Lessing, a German product designer, has produced the tealight “Night On Earth” (top) and walllight “Night Flight” (left), both based upon (in his words) “an abstract image of light” formed by the view of urbanistic structures from above. The results are oddly calming and beautiful. Just the kind of thing you’d want to give your favorite urban child to help them get over their (entirely reasonable) fear of the dark.
