The latest word from “insiders” who claim to be “in-the-know” have refuted such price drop claims, meaning you’ll have to pay the full $399 for the foreseeable future if you want the real Xbox 360.

Given that Sony’s PlayStation 3 will require you to take out a second mortgage on your house just to be able to afford it, and that the Wii will be value-priced from the beginning, Microsoft might want to investigate cutting prices just a little bit.
