Were you notified over the weekend that Apple had upgraded your iCloud plan to 25GB, good through… 2050? Don’t get too excited; it’s almost certainly just a glitch.
Some users noticed that their plans had been bumped for no reason. While Apple had been offering up an additional 20GB for people switching over from MobileMe, as of yesterday they were supposed to be bumped back down to the base plan of just 5GB. So don’t be fooled if you check your account and suddenly have tons of extra storage good for the next 38 years. Honestly, if there even is a cloud in 38 years you’re going to need a whole lot more than 20GB for it anyway to upload your entire human essence. [TUAW via CNET]
