Outer Range Season 2’s Trailer Sees Josh Brolin Rustle Up the Concept of Linear Time

Honestly, the fact that the giant mystery hole may also be a portal through time and space seems like the least of everyone's problems this season.

Yes, Josh Brolin’s cowboy hole show is back, and indeed holier than ever—but if our first look at season 2 of the Prime Video series is anything to go by, then the Mystery Hole That Sends You Through Time seems honestly pretty low on Brolin’s list of things to deal with.

Amazon has dropped a new trailer for Outer Range’s second season, which sees Dune star Brolin’s Wyoming rancher Royal Abbott dealing with so much more than the giant mystery hole in his back yard. You know things are going to get esoteric and weird when Josh Brolin starts contemplating the Book of Genesis right off the bat.

Yes, there’s a lot of time bending weirdness here, but creepy drugs, strange rituals, a whole lot of people beating each other up about things seemingly unrelated to the Giant Time Hole? Things are definitely going off the deep end, proverbially and literally when people start getting pushed into the aforementioned hole.

Outer Range season 2 hits Amazon Prime Video May 16.
