Palm Bribes Key Employees to Stick Around as SVP of Software Jumps Ship

An SEC filing shows that Michael Abbott, Palm’s Senior Vice President of software and services, will be leaving the company this month. The same filing also revealed that several key employees received generous incentives to stick around.

Best of luck to Mr. Abbott—who was instrumental to webOS—and let’s hope his ex-coworkers don’t regret accepting lovely stock packages and $250K in cash to stay with Palm. [Palm via Engadget]
