Panasonic is expanding its Japanese DIGA line of DVD recorders, with five new models that can record up to 16 hours per double-sided, DVD-RAM disc. The monster of the lot is the DMR-E95H, featuring a built-in 250GB hard disk capable of recording 428 hours of video. Also worth a gander is the DMR-E150V, slated to hit U.S. stores this summer. (Though, of course, you can find the entire DIGA line on the grey market.) Panasonic is playing up the DMR-E150V as “the world’s first 3-in-1 DVD recorder” — it’s also got a VHS recorder and an 80GB hard disk. The no muss, no fuss way to transfer your fading Manimal cassettes to disc.
