Here's something that'll brighten you up just in time for the end of the week: Calvin and Hobbes being spliced into real life photographs. I don't know how many times I wished these guys existed in real life when I was young. Hell, I think I still do.

This project, made by photographer Michael S. Den Beste, blends Calvin and Hobbes characters into photographs that match the world in the comics. It's so damn fun. I'd totally re-read all the comics if it was set in real life again. Just check out some of his work below:

The only thing better than Photoshopping Calvin and Hobbes in real-life situations is doing what my friend did to his (soon-to-be-born) kid's room. He traced it all using a projector, matched all the colors, and at the same time he simultaneously raised the bar for every parent on the planet.
