We’ve yet to see a video phone system that works well over regular wired telephone lines, but British company called Pic-Tel has a new video phone coming out that they’re hoping isn’t just the latest in a long line of failures. The claim that the difference with theirs is that it makes use of some recent advances in video compression to raise the quality of the video connection.
