Pinhead and his marry band of Cenobites are coming to the small screen in a brand new Hellraiser TV series. That's right, there's going to be a Hellraiser TV show! We don't even know how to process this insanity, but maybe this incarnation of the puzzle box will actually be good.
Buried deep inside a Variety article about the rebranding of Sonar Entertainment, new Chief Executive Stewart Till spills the beans on a few new TV projects that are currently in the early stages of production.
After spending years at Universal, Till is looking for easily recognizable properties to reboot into TV material. And with the success of American Horror Story and The Walking Dead, another horror show might be a smart bet.
But with the recent Hellraiser movie flops still stinking up the name, we wonder if people really are interested in the complicated world of Pinhead and his Cenobite minions beyond their freaky faces. A case could however be made for a Pinhead Justified Western. Sonar is currently working on the project with Eric Gardner's Panacea Ent and Larry Kuppin of New World Entertainment (New World has worked on a few past Hellraiser flicks).
