Pixar artist turns R-rated movies into awesome kids book illustrations

Josh Cooley has a good sense of humor which is probably what led him to start drawing R-rated scenes from famous movies in the style of a children’s book. Alien, Fight Club, The Godfather, Jaws—they’re all there. And they’re for sale.

Cooley’s new book, Movies R Fun!: A Collection of Cinematic Classics for the Pre-(Film) School Cinephile, comes out March 1. However, if you’re impatient, there’s a wide range of prints available for $25 to $50 through Big Cartel. And if you happen to live in Los Angeles, you can meet Cooley at a gallery slash book show on Saturday, February 22 at Gallery 1988. In the meantime, enjoy this selection of our favorites. [PCB]
