Don’t get us wrong, we’re very excited for the new cartoon G.I. Joe Renegades, but these pictures are…odd. Take a look at the brand new cast of Joes, and their strange rhombus-shaped faces.
Here’s the official synopsis of the rebooted series (which sounds a little A-Team-esque… not that that’s a bad thing)
“Branded as renegades for crimes they did not commit, a heroic group of young G.I.s is forced to “turn fugitive” as they battle to clear their names, and expose the evil that is COBRA Industries — a seemingly benevolent mega-corporation covertly controlled by a rogues gallery intent on creating a New World Order.”
Take heart thought, Joe fans — Topless Robot saw some Renegades footage at SDCC and reassured the fans:
I don’t think there’s a need to panic — I saw a clip of Renegades at SDCC, and it looked nothing like this — at the very least, I don’t recall Scarlett being Asian
