Usually, we see depictions of real-life ruined places in photographs, but Matteo Massagrande instead paints dilapidated interiors, capturing the light and shadow of post-apocalyptic decay.

These paintings are currently available from the Albemarle Gallery in London. These melancholy paintings add a bit of romance to our usual views of crumbling architecture, making them all the more charming for their peeling paint and broken windows.
