Well, this is a pleasant surprise—AMC has announced that its awesome-looking Preacher adaptation will premiere May 22nd, meaning you’ll get to see Jesse and his friends (and his unpleasant foes) on the small screen a lot sooner than we all expected.
The news was released through the show’s Twitter account, alongside a new picture of Dominic Cooper’s Jesse lighting up a cigarette:

It feels like we’ve barely seen any of this show, but what we did see back in November last year has us really excited to see Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s messed up world come to life. At least now with a premiere date, we might start seeing more and more of it. Preacher will air May 22nd on AMC, after the midseason finale of Fear the Walking Dead.
