Preorder Deal on the True Blood Blu-Ray, $2 Mysteries, and More Deals

The complete True Blood Blu-ray comes out tomorrow, and Amazon just dropped the preorder price down to $160. These often shoot back up after a box set is released, so grab it today if you want it for the holidays. [Preorder True Blood: The Complete Series, $160]

Today on Amazon, grab a triple play of Predator movies for just over $4 each [ Predator Triple Feature, $13]

If your Kindle is running low on new books, Amazon is offering dozens of highly-rated mysteries for $2 each today. [Select Top-Rated Kindle Mysteries are Just $1.99 Each Today at Amazon]

It might not be Amazon’s flagship e-reader anymore, but the Kindle Paperwhite still arguably offers the best bang for the buck in the Kindle lineup at its usual $119 price tag. But at $79, it’s a complete steal.

To be clear, this is a refurbished model, but it comes with the exact same warranty and access to Amazon customer support as a new one, and for $40 less. It’s already backordered by 3-5 weeks at the time of this writing, but you should still get it in time for the holidays. [Amazon]

Best Buy and Target kicked off some impressive pre-Black Friday video game promotions over the weekend. Here are the details:

First up, Target is offering a blanket buy 2, get 1 free promotion on an impressive assortment of video games, including new releases. With everything that’s been coming out lately, you shouldn’t have any trouble filling your cart.

Best Buy’s promotion is 3DS-specific, but just as good. In addition to $25 off a new 3DS XL(including the new Smash Bros. edition!), you can buy one Nintendo-published 3DS game, and get a second for half price.

Target’s buy 2, get 1 free deal isn’t limited to just video games; they’re offering the same promotion on board games as well. That includes expensive and rarely-discounted favorites like Catan (including the Star Trek version!), but a lot of them are starting to sell out, so act fast. We suspect there will be a lot of great app deals this holiday season, so get your account balance ready. [ $30 iTunes Gift Card for $25, or $100 for $80]

It’s not even Black Friday yet, but we might have already found the most obvious deal of the holiday shopping season. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, and you buy $45 in Amazon Gift Cards, you’ll get a $10 credit added to your account. That’s free money, folks.

Your easiest option here is to get a 3-pack of $15 cards (note that they MUST be the Holiday-branded cards pictured), but you can get higher denominations if you want to give them away as gifts. Just enter code HOLIDAYGCS at checkout to get the deal. Weirdly, you have to be a “new” gift card customer, meaning you haven’t previously ordered any gift cards from Amazon, but you could skirt around this by just creating a new account and signing up for a Prime 30 day free trial, so there’s really no excuse to miss out on this.

The only other real caveat is that you have to spend the $10 credit before the end of the year, but with Black Friday around the corner, I don’t think you’ll have any trouble with that. The gift cards, of course, never expire. [ Amazon]
