Welp, that was pretty fast: just two days after springing into life on the Play Store, Primecast, a $2.99 app that put Amazon Instant Video-streaming capability onto your Chromecast, has ceased to be.

The devs have confirmed in a blog post that they were ‘locked out’ of the streaming functionality, and have pulled their (now non-functional) app off the Play Store. Even if you managed to snag the app before it was pulled, the change to Amazon’s back-end means that you won’t be able to use the app to stream to your Chromecast. I hope the two days of Chromecast-streaming bliss was worth the three bucks. [Primecast via Android Police]
