Why didn’t we think of this? As you all know, wet is bad for gadgets. A good way to avoid problems? Instead of bagging electronics bare with the threats of humidity and condensation, load them with a silica packet instead. No packets? Check your wife’s closet…there are shoeboxes, trust us. (Ladies, you already know.)

But the lightly demented genius that is the collective Gizmodo readership must have some good ways of protecting your loved ones, so what are they? And don’t even joke that we are referring to your families.
