Some people are getting ready for violence: Americans are buying guns in record numbers, and weapons manufacturer Smith & Wesson reports a 43% rise in gun sales over last year. The Newtown slaughter of schoolchildren, obviously, prompted a 38% jump in gun sales in the last quarter.
