Did you listen to the Serial finale yet? Good for you, now please don't tell me what happens. Instead, you should listen to this Notorious B.I.G. remix featuring the Serial theme. Fafu, the New York-based producer behind this little work of genius, even made it downloadable so you can listen to it on the go—just like Serial podcasts.
I'll be honest. I thought this Biggie-Serial mashup was just another attempt to ride the wave of popularity this (excellent) podcast has created. But the song is actually pretty good! It might seem like any producer could mix in the simple Serial theme with any hip hop song, but Fafu takes it a stage further and includes somewhat relevant clips from Serial episodes. It's a bit hard to reconcile the meaning behind mixing a podcast about a murder with the lyrics of a rapper who was murdered. That might make this remix even more intriguing, though.
