Resident Evil 6 gets a release date, this is why we can’t have nice things

As long as there is blood flowing in Milla Jovovich’s trigger fingers, there will be more Resident Evil movies. Shock Til You Drop is reporting that a sixth Resident Evil movie is in the works and will be released on September 12th, 2014.

But long time director Paul W.S. Anderson has already pledged his time to the thriller Pompeii (which stars Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington) there’s no way he can do both without moving the dates for Pompeii. Then again, maybe it’s time for someone else to take control of this picture and try something new? Something besides putting Milla in a CG maze and throwing monsters at her? Not that this integral part of this franchise should be dumped entirely. Or wait, maybe that’s a good idea — just dump the franchise entirely.
