RIM Buys BlackPad.com, a Home For the BlackBerry Tablet?

MobileCrunch reports that RIM recently snatched up BlackPad.com, a possible name for their forthcoming BlackBerry tablet. The device is anticipated to land in pant-suited laps by the end of the year.

In May BGR heard that RIM’s tablet would sport an 8.9″ screen and would be marketed strictly as a “companion” device, though little has been confirmed as of yet.
