It's clear that Apple's bound for the cloud, but as a company known for withholding features until they're just right, many questions remain. Boy Genius reports that a massive cloud push, including wireless syncing and streaming media, is coming soon.

As Matt said, basic cloud features aren't luxuries anymore, they're table stakes, and while it hasn't been a secret that Apple is looking to let users off the USB leash, there hasn't been much in the way of details for what they had in store.

But according to one of BGR's "reliable Apple sources," the company will be launching a full-on cloud push later this year. It'll reportedly include three major components:
• Streaming music and movies from Apple's servers to your computer and iDevices (a la Lala-ified iTunes)
• Streaming your local media to other Apple computers and iDevices
• Wireless iTunes syncing to iDevices

These three services would certainly go a long way to satisfy users' gripes about the distance between their Macs, iPhones, and iPads. BGR's source says that in addition to the cloud services, Apple will roll out "two new devices with camera/camcorder capabilities" this year, one of which could be a souped-up, camera-equipped iPod Touch that has been speculated on recently.

It's clear that this is where Apple's headed, but it's definitely possible we end up seeing just bits and and pieces of the expansive plan outlined by BGR. On the other hand, maybe Google's leapfrogging keynote at Google I/O lit a fire under Apple's ass and they really are ready to go all in with the cloud. [BGR]
