A day after posting his fuck traditional TV manifesto, Business Insider has heard reports that Hulu CEO Jason Kilar is about to be fired from his position. Apparently, News Corp execs have been going around saying that he's "as good as gone" and that the post which caused all this controversy had been in the works for a long time.
This can't be good for the embattled company, who is locked in a tug-of-war battle with content providers over how TV shows should be consumed online and at what cost. Kilar wanted to make as much content as possible available on-demand (as evidenced by the Viacom deal), and his stodgier counterparts weren't having it. If this does happen, it will be curious to see what direction Hulu heads in from here. [Business Insider]
