Having previously refused to appear on streaming services, rock legends Led Zeppelin are rumoured to be making their catalog exclusively available for streaming through Spotify later today.

The New York Times reports:

Spotify will announce at a news conference in Manhattan on Wednesday morning that Led Zeppelin — which has so far refused to license its music for streaming — will join its catalog, according to people briefed on the deal who were not authorized to speak publicly about it.

It’s expected that CEO Daniel Ek will explain how the two parties overcame earlier communication breakdowns (get it?), while also lifting the lid on the other previously-rumoured Spotify announcement — free, ad-funded mobile streaming for all. [NYT]
