Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series premiered to insane numbers. Everyone was watching, and because of this massive TV success, Disney is allegedly rethinking the axing of the live-action Star Wars show. Clearly, there’s money to be made here.
Blue Sky is reporting that even thought Disney put the kibosh on Luscasfilm’s plans for a live-action Star Wars show (that was stuck in development hell for years and years and years), Marvel’s recent television success has them reconsidering, but with a lighter touch. According to Blue Sky the new series may not be the “dark and brooding adventure that was described.” Granted these are all just whispers, but still, exciting stuff. We would love a big budget Star Wars drama with excellent sets and lots of world-building!
