Samsung's P520 is Slim, Touchable and Reminds Me of Something

Cellphone chatrooms and blogs have been discussing the merits of Samsung's P-520, alongside a couple of photos. This is largely seen as the Korean company's version of the iPhone (it's EDGE-supporting, after all) but whether its UI will be as revolutionary as Jobs' baby is still unknown. Maybe it's more Prada than JesusPhone—what do you think?

One other thing: the P520's flip-front jacket thingy had better be leather. Pleather, leather-look or plain old PVC will NOT be an acceptable substitute. [Mobile Review via Slashphone ]

Yet another "any phone with a touchscreen is an iPhone rip-off" post. I guess we'll just have to deal with the fact that ignorance and marketing is more powerful than reality will ever be.

If Samsung has improved it's UI, mainly ditching that stupid pen-writing-number gayness - which I will have to assume is gone since there wouldn't be room for lame gimmicks with a full dialpad, this might just be the phone I've been waiting for all my life. I've been fantasizing about a full touchscreen P310 since it came out.

@Addy: It's leather.

@BARFOLEMIEW: The case does double as an extra battery, P300/P310 style.

@JAWZXY: A new standard of bamboozlization.

@JOS: Expandable via microSD, unlike lesser phones.
