Samsung’s virtual reality headset, the Samsung Gear VR, is available online today for $200. You’ll need a Galaxy Note 4 to actually use the headset, since it uses the smartphone as its screen.
Samsung’s Oculus Rift competitor is a comfortable, easy-to-use VR option, and while the company is stressing that this “Innovator Edition” is aimed at early adopters and is still very much an experimental project, the $200 price tag means it’s a pretty kickass gift for anyone with an interest in virtual reality… and already owns a Note 4.
