SanDisk Cruzer Contour: Trying to Bring the Bling

Sandisk brought out its new Cruzer Contour USB flash drive, which aims for the “elegant look and feel of a fine fountain pen.” Right. While I wouldn’t go that far, it is definitely packing in the looks department. The outer casing is metallic with a nice, solid feel, which houses a shiny black case (not quite PS3 shiny). The black shell in turn houses the actual USB connector and its lid, which engages automatically when you slide the connector back into the shell, as you can see in the video after the jump. Cooler still is that it features U3 for running apps straight off of the drive. There are three storage capacities available: 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8GB, the latter being SanDisk’s biggest flash drive yet. They sell for $90, $150, and $240, respectively, and drop in March. Another picture and video of the in-and-out action after the jump, if you know what I’m sayin’. And I think you do.
