A UK magistrate ruled this week to outlaw Segway vehicles on sidewalks through out the country. This follows a previous decision to ban the machines on roads as well. Essentially, Segways are not allowed in the UK.
I suppose Brits could ride around in their front yards or the hallways of their apartment buildings, but that’s an awfully expensive diversion. And it goes without saying that the company has had a rough 12 months, especially after the company founder rode one of the two-wheeled devices off a cliff and died. [Cnet]
