Green Lantern:

There's no way for this not to be a bit of a letdown — but here's Ryan Reynolds in costume to play Green Lantern. Except that the "costume" is a motion-capture suit, because the whole thing will be created with CG. Oh well. Full image over at the link. [MTV via IGN]

Transformers 3:

On top of the casting of John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Patrick Dempsey, there's another development — Alan Tudyk, aka Wash from Firefly, has joined this film. [The Wrap]

So is Tudyk going to be wasted in another ungodly mess? Shia LaBeouf promises this film will be better than the second one.

When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did... There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone... We got lost. We tried to get bigger. It's what happens to sequels. It's like, how do you top the first one? You've got to go bigger. Mike went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie. ... You lost a bit of the relationships. Unless you have those relationships, then the movie doesn't matter. Then it's just a bunch of robots fighting each other.

And he says the third movie will focus on the human cost of the robot war. "There's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans... It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed." [Huffington Post]

And apparently in this new movie, it's a few years later and both Sam and Mikaela have entered the workplace. Someone associated with the movie's production posted a photo of Sam's new briefcase, and Mikaela's "working girl" makeover. More at the link. [TFW2005 and TFW2005]

Kym Whitley confirms she's got a role in this film as well — but she was also in the second movie, and her scenes wound up getting cut. So no clue whether she'll make it into the final cut this time or not. [TFW 2005]

Avatar 2:

James Cameron predicts he'll be announcing the sequel's release date within a few months, and it'll take just three years to make. [Associated Press]

Jonah Hex:

Speaking of Megan Fox's "working girl" look, here's a new promo pic of her from this movie. [SpoilerTV-Movies]

Josh Brolin talks about his vision of the title character:

Well, he's a loner, he's a guy who has lost an incredible amount. He's watched his wife and his kid die right in front of him. He accidentally killed his one of his mentors' son, and his best friend. There's also this revenge factor, but it's so emotionally wrought with all these different feelings of love, and of loss, and revenge, and avenging, and all of this stuff. I love how convoluted it is, because the hero's not necessarily the hero. That guy isn't necessarily the bad guy. Everybody's kind of intertwined, and its something I've always believed in [real] life – that the greatest guy is capable of doing the worst things, and the worst guy is capable of doing something wonderful.

And here's a detailed report on a visit to this film's set. I didn't know Will Arnett was in this film! [Cinematical]

I Am Number Four:

Sharlto Copley says the rumors that he left this film because he wanted to wear prosthetics and look like Mr. Spock are totally untrue, but funny. [MTV]

Cowboys and Aliens:

Dreamworks released the first synopsis for this film, starring Daniel Craig:

1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It's a town that lives in fear.

But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.

Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he's been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents-townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors-all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse:

Here's your first official clip from the third Twi-movie.

And here's a new outdoor banner for this film, which Summit sent to us yesterday.

Terra Nova:

Fox is almost certainly going to pick up this Steven Spielberg show for a 13-episode order, which will film in Hawaii over the summer. The pilot script starts in 2149 A.D., with a group of settlers who are preparing to leave the apocalyptic world they live in to travel back in time millions of years via a huge, high-tech contraption. They want to return to nature and start over in a new Eden. But what they find is totally unlike anything they were expecting. [EW]

Doctor Who:

The official title of episode 11 is "The Lodger." And here's the official synopsis for episode nine, "Cold Blood":

It is the most important day in the history of Earth: the dawn of a new age of harmony or the start of its final war. In the latest episode of the time-travelling drama, written by Chris Chibnall, The Doctor must face his most difficult challenge yet. It is a battle in which he cannot take sides and a day when nobody must die...

[Planet Gallifrey]

Here are three new clips from episode seven, "Amy's Choice". []

The Sarah Jane Adventures:

There are some more updates on the filming of this Doctor Who spinoff's new season. Apparently, the third story revolves around a man in a Transformers/Iron Man type suit rampaging around and blowing up shop windows. Tons more at the link. [Planet Gallifrey]

Warehouse 13:

Here's a new promo for the second season. Summer will not be a TV wasteland!

True Blood:

Rutina Wesley says it's been terrific working with James Frain, who plays Franklin Mott, Tara's love interest from the books. "It's going to be more ups and downs like last season. Very chaotic. Now we've got wolves and other things coming into play." [On The Red Carpet]

Jasika Nicole talks up the season finale:

The season two finale is the most shocking script we've had since the pilot! The season one finale was so good I assumed there was no way they'd be able to top that, and this year's finale is so freakin' good. We finally get to go to the alternate universe and meet everyone in their altered state. But that's not even what I'm talking about — the very end of it, what's going to keep audiences on the edge of their seats is in the last minute.

She says Astrid is "the most different" in the other universe and has been experimented on for her special abilities, and we'll be shocked by the truth behind the war between universes. Also, she confirms that the first few episodes of the next season take place in the alternate universe. [NY Post]

Here's a Canadian promo for "Chuck Vs. The Living Dead," including some hot Jeffster action! [ChuckTV]

It's a tense dinner between Anna and Erica in some new pics from the season finale. I'm actually intrigued to watch this. [SpoilerTV]

There's a new sneak peek from the season finale, in which Clark confesses to Lois that she's the one he's always needed — just as she decides to leave town. [TV Guide]

Here are some promo pics of Chloe and Oliver from the season finale, for you Chlollie-heads. [OSCK]

Here are a bunch of pics from the show's penultimate episode. [Lyly Ford]

And here are a ton of "outtakes" from a recent Vanity Fair shoot. [Lyly Ford]

Okay, so here are some major, major spoilers. Apparently Tuesday's episode was screened early for a live event, and there are a ton of details already online. Stop reading now if you don't want to be spoiled!

At one point, Locke tells Widmore that if Widmore explains why he brought Desmond to the island, then Locke will spare Penny's life. At this, Ben shoots and kills Widmore, saying that Penny doesn't get to live. But Widmore whispers to Locke the purpose of Desmond, and the word "failsafe" is audible. Locke also slashes Zoe's throat. Also, Richard Alpert gets smashed by the Smoke Monster and probably dies.

Meanwhile, Jacob appears to the four remaining Losties — not just Hurley — and explains why they're candidates, and why Kate isn't one. And Jack becomes the new Jacob, via a whole ceremony where Jack drinks from a stream, and Jacob says "Now we are the same."

Also, Desmond beats up Ben in "flash-sideways" universe — and Ben "remembers" when he got beat up in the OTM.

Meanwhile, L.A.-verse Locke decides he wants Jack to fix his spine, because it's fate, and Jack says the thing about not confusing coincidence with fate. Desmond turns himself in for running over Locke, but then he, Hurley and Ana-Lucia bust Sayid and Kate out of prison. Desmond gets all the passengers from Oceanic 815 to congregate at the Driveshaft concert.

And Locke announces he wants to destroy the island, at the end of the episode. Oh, and Ben seems to be on Smokey's team again. [SpoilersLost]

Additional reporting by Mary Ratliff.

"And Locke announces he wants to destroy the island, at the end of the episode."

that was in those spoiler script pages we saw a few weeks ago... He says something like "I'm going to leave here and the island will sink to the bottom of the ocean"
