The New York Times let columnist David Pogue have a new toy: the Sharp Aquos LC-15L1U, the world’s first WiFi television. Pogue systematically dismantles the Aquos using ‘words,’ striking at its too-short range, the short battery life, and the lack of video inputs on the base station, while simultaneously fawning over its design. I don’t know about you, but I don’t see myself paying $1,600 for a television where the standout feature is its ability to pluck a picture from the air. Next month from Sharp? 802.11b Digital Rabbit Ears. [Thanks Jonno and Zach]
