Traveling is hard enough without having to worry about bringing an extra head. But that’s exactly what she had to do, especially after realizing the bird head really didn’t fit her neck plug very well.
These weird and beautiful illustrations of women with animal heads are the work of Ernie and Cassandra Velasco. Together they run San Francisco studio Doubleparlour, producing illustrations, sculptures, and t-shirts – all of which feature what the artists call “humorous and melancholy characters.” I especially love the t-shirt design of a little girl with a bug on a leash.
