I took this photo just after seeing the what the contest was, I was sitting at my desk and I saw a jar of change I had and noticed that the coins matched the colour of my desk, simple really.
The camera was on a tripod and I used the infrared remote for Canon cameras to take the photo as to reduce vibrations as much as possible, the camera was set to manual focus to avoid changing the focus when I got the shot the camera set the way I wanted it.

This was a simple shot taken in my office of an old basket. Camera was set up on desk with lens supported by a roll of tape. Only lighting available was the fluorescent overhead and an old mini Maglite was used over the basket pointed straight down as a spot light for the “glare”.

Inspiration came from the lead photo. I am constantly astonished by the vast hues throughout nature, and in particular, the red cabbage has been a vegetable of great curiosity. I cropped, straightened in out, and fixed the white balance in photoshop’s camera raw, than distorted it a bit in photoshop (lens correction).

I took a 5mW green laser, and aimed it at some aluminum in the bathroom. The diffusion you see is exactly what is produced. no photochopping or color tweaks made to the picture. Getting clear pictures was a tough since the diffusion would only happen in some areas, which made holding the laser straight and in a very, very small spot the most difficult of all.
